Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the ‘Ek Varsh-Parinaam Utkarsh’ event in Jaipur, celebrating the completion of one year of the Rajasthan state government under Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. During the ceremony, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 24 major projects worth over ₹46,300 crore across sectors like energy, roads, railways, and water.

In his address, PM Modi praised the state government’s achievements and emphasized that these projects would tackle Rajasthan’s water challenges and improve connectivity, fostering investment, job creation, and uplifting farmers, women, and youth. He highlighted rural development initiatives, particularly in the electricity sector, aimed at providing daytime power for farmers to ease irrigation practices.

Modi also spotlighted Rajasthan’s potential in solar energy through the PM Suryagarh Free Electricity Scheme, which grants households ₹78,000 to install rooftop solar panels, enabling them to use and sell surplus electricity.
