PM Modi Expresses Grief Over Mishap in Gujarat’s Surendranagar

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday expressed deep sorrow over a tragic road accident in Gujarat’s Surendranagar district that claimed multiple lives.

According to reports, a speeding truck rammed into a group of pedestrians on the Lakhtar–Viramgam highway early Monday, killing seven people, including six pilgrims who were on their way to Bahucharaji. Several others were injured in the incident.

In a message shared on X, the Prime Minister said the mishap was deeply distressing and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, while local officials are providing necessary assistance to the victims and their families.
