Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow over the tragic bus accident in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, which resulted in multiple casualties. The accident involved a double-decker bus colliding with a water tanker, leaving at least eight people dead and 19 others injured. PM Modi announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh each for the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 for the injured from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF).
The Prime Minister conveyed his condolences via social media and wished for the speedy recovery of those injured, highlighting his deep concern for the victims and their families.
