PM Modi Applauds India’s Leap to 39th in Global Innovation Index 2024

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has hailed India’s impressive ascent to the 39th position in the Global Innovation Index (GII) 2024. This leap forward signifies a major advancement for India as a global leader in innovation, research, and development.

In his address, PM Modi emphasized that India’s innovation ecosystem is witnessing remarkable growth, driven by the contributions of dynamic sectors like technology, startups, and scientific research. He attributed this success to initiatives such as “Make in India” and “Startup India,” which have been pivotal in creating a thriving environment for innovation.

The Global Innovation Index, published annually by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), evaluates the innovation capacity of nations worldwide. India’s jump to 39th place underscores its growing prominence in global research and development, showcasing its commitment to building a knowledge-based economy.

Expressing optimism, Prime Minister Modi stated that India is poised to continue its upward trajectory in global innovation, striving for even greater milestones in the coming years.
