New Delhi : The ninth edition of the Raisina Dialogue, India’s premier conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, witnessed the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Greek counterpart, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who is on an official visit to New Delhi. The annual event, committed to addressing global challenges, was attended by top dignitaries, including External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra.
The ongoing Raisina Dialogue, organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), a prominent think tank, brought together foreign ministers and officials from various countries. Foreign Minister of Mauritius Maneesh Gobin, along with counterparts from Tanzania January Makamba and Panama’s Janaina Tewaney Mencomo, arrived in New Delhi earlier in the day. Additionally, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto and foreign ministers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland, and Liechtenstein also joined the global gathering.
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, serving as the chief guest and keynote speaker, underscored the significance of the Raisina Dialogue. The event, themed “Chaturanga: Conflict/Contest | Cooperate | Create,” will continue until February 23.
The conference aims to provide a platform for ministers, national security advisors, industry leaders, and representatives from diverse sectors to engage in discussions on critical issues. Thematic pillars of the Raisina Dialogue include “Tech Frontiers: Regulations and Realities,” “Peace with the Planet: Invest and Innovate,” “War and Peace: Armouries and Asymmetries,” “Decolonising Multilateralism: Institutions and Inclusion,” and “The Post-2030 Agenda: People and Progress.”
More than 100 nations are represented at this year’s Raisina Dialogue, reflecting a global participation in addressing the multifaceted challenges and opportunities in the geopolitical landscape. The conference serves as a forum for dialogue, cooperation, and the exchange of ideas to foster international understanding and collaboration.
