Over 100 Air India passengers have been stranded in Phuket, Thailand, since November 16 after their flight to Delhi was abruptly canceled due to technical issues with the aircraft.
The flight, AI-377, faced a six-hour delay before passengers were finally boarded, only to be deboarded soon after due to a crew duty time limitation. The flight was officially canceled, leaving travelers in limbo.
Air India made an attempt to resume the flight on November 17, but after two-and-a-half hours of flying, the plane was forced to make an emergency landing due to ongoing technical difficulties.
Air India’s Apology and Response:
- The airline has expressed sincere regret for the inconvenience caused and assured passengers that they are processing refunds and arranging alternative flights.
- For those still stranded, Air India has provided meals, accommodation, and support, and is actively working to resolve the situation.
Many frustrated passengers have taken to social media to voice their concerns, criticizing the airline for poor communication and a lack of timely updates. With the situation still unresolved, travelers are calling for more efficient management of the crisis.
