Patna: Bihar witnessed a landmark political moment as Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister for a record tenth time, leading a newly formed NDA government. The grand swearing-in ceremony took place at Patna’s iconic Gandhi Maidan, with 21 ministers inducted into the new cabinet.

The oath was administered by Bihar Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, while the event saw the presence of top national dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and several senior NDA leaders. Congratulating the new government, PM Modi posted on X, expressing confidence that the experienced team would “work tirelessly for Bihar’s progress.”

The new cabinet features representation from across the NDA alliance, including 14 ministers from the BJP and 8 from the JDU, along with members from ally parties like LJP, RLNM, and HAM.
