Milk Price to Increase by ₹5 Per Litre in Karnataka After State Budget

Bengaluru: Milk prices in Karnataka are set to rise by ₹5 per litre following the state budget announcement. The Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has decided to implement the price hike, making it one of the biggest increases in the last three years.

The decision comes in response to rising production costs, including higher fodder prices, transportation expenses, and increased demand. The new prices will be applicable across all varieties of milk sold by KMF, impacting consumers across the state.

Officials from KMF stated that the price revision was necessary to support dairy farmers and ensure sustainability in milk production. The hike is expected to take effect soon after the budget presentation.

With this increase, Karnataka joins several other states that have recently raised milk prices due to inflation and rising operational costs in the dairy sector. Consumers are advised to prepare for the revised rates once the official notification is issued.
