“Lame Attempts To Divide India”: Centre Rejects Pakistan’s Missile Attack Claim

New Delhi: The Indian government on Saturday strongly rejected Pakistan’s claims that it had launched missile attacks targeting India on Friday night. Addressing a press conference, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri dismissed the statements made by Pakistani officials as “ludicrous” and baseless.

“These are desperate and lame attempts to divide India and distract from Pakistan’s internal failures,” Misri stated. He emphasized that no missile attacks had taken place on Indian soil, and that the Indian security establishment remained fully alert and prepared to counter any threats.

The Foreign Secretary accused Pakistan of spreading false narratives to provoke instability and tension in the region. “This is part of a repeated pattern where Pakistan attempts to project aggression externally while failing to address its domestic issues,” he added.

India reaffirmed that its territorial integrity is non-negotiable and warned that any real threat will be met with a resolute and proportionate response. No casualties or damage were reported on the Indian side, and all key installations and borders remain secure, according to defense officials.

This comes amid heightened tensions in the region, though Indian authorities urged citizens to stay calm and not fall for misinformation. The Ministry of External Affairs also plans to raise the issue at appropriate international forums to expose what it calls Pakistan’s “fabricated war hysteria.”
