KSRTC to Launch Luxury Business Class Bus on March 15 with Airline-Style Comfort

The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (Kerala State Road Transport Corporation) will introduce its new business class bus service on March 15, Transport Minister K. B. Ganesh Kumar announced. The premium bus will feature modern facilities including a pantry and onboard toilet, offering passengers a comfortable travel experience. Initially, one bus will operate from Kochi to Thiruvananthapuram in the morning, while another will run from Thiruvananthapuram to Kochi. The journey is expected to take around three and a half hours, with stops at Alappuzha and Kollam. The service may later be extended to Thrissur once ongoing road works are completed.

The luxury buses, built by Volvo, will have 35 seats designed to provide a premium travel experience similar to business class seating on flights operated by Emirates. A unique feature of the service is the presence of onboard hostesses who will check tickets and serve food to passengers during the journey. According to the minister, the buses will offer facilities never before seen in KSRTC services, marking a new chapter in comfortable and high-quality public transportation in Kerala.
