Thiruvananthapuram: With the Christmas and New Year holidays around the corner, KSRTC has announced a major travel boost by launching special additional bus services to popular destinations such as Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Chennai. These services will run from December 19, 2025, to January 5, 2026, ensuring smoother holiday travel for thousands of passengers. KSRTC confirmed that these extra services have been scheduled in addition to the regular fleet, anticipating a heavy surge in festive-season traffic.
The special services cover routes from major Kerala hubs including Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Kannur, Thrissur, Kollam, Kottayam, Malappuram, Sulthan Bathery, Pala, Alappuzha region, and more. Passengers will have multiple options across Super Fast, Super Deluxe, Super Express, AC Seater, and Multi-Axle categories. The routes include important transit points such as Mananthavady–Kutta, Mysuru, Coimbatore–Palakkad, Coimbatore–Salem, Nagercoil, and Madurai, ensuring wider connectivity and convenient travel timings.
Similarly, KSRTC has arranged several return services from Bengaluru to various districts in Kerala, aiming to reduce congestion and accommodate the high holiday footfall. Special services from Chennai to Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam have also been added to meet increased seasonal demand.
To make travel planning easier, KSRTC has opened online booking for all these special services. Passengers can reserve seats through the official website www.onlineksrtcswift.com or via the Ente KSRTC Neo OPRS mobile app. KSRTC has urged travellers to book early, as seats are expected to fill quickly during the festive rush.
