KSRTC Launches 149: Easy 3-Digit Emergency Helpline for Passengers

Thiruvananthapuram: Making travel safer and more responsive, the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has rolled out a new three-digit emergency helpline 149 for passengers to instantly report complaints or seek urgent assistance.

Until now, passengers had to rely on landline and mobile numbers to contact KSRTC’s operation control room. A WhatsApp number is also available for reporting rash driving with supporting videos. The newly introduced 149 helpline adds a quicker, more accessible option for real-time communication.

KSRTC officials emphasized that the 149 emergency number is aimed at enhancing passenger convenience and ensuring timely action during emergencies. With just three digits to dial, help is now only seconds away for every KSRTC traveler.
