Thiruvananthapuram: In a big boost to Kerala’s digital revolution, the state-owned Kerala Fibre Optic Network (KFON) is set to bundle 29 OTT platforms — including JioCinema, Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Lite, SonyLIV — along with 350 digital TV channels as part of its internet service.
The much-awaited launch will be held on February 21 at 6 PM at the Nishagandhi Auditorium, Kanakakunnu Palace, Thiruvananthapuram. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the event, with Minister V. Sivankutty presiding. Dr. Santosh Babu, Principal Secretary and KFON Managing Director, will present the project report and unveil the tariff packages during the function.
The event will also feature MPs A.A. Rahim and Shashi Tharoor, MLA V.K. Prasanth, and Thiruvananthapuram Mayor Arya Rajendran. Electronics & IT Department Special Secretary Seeram Samba Siva Rao will deliver the welcome address, while KFON CTO Murali Kishore R.S. will propose the vote of thanks.
With this launch, KFON is set to transform home entertainment in Kerala by merging high-speed internet with premium OTT content and digital television — all under one service.
