Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast isolated rainfall across Kerala today, with a yellow alert issued in Idukki, Malappuram, Kannur, and Kasaragod due to the likelihood of heavy showers in select areas. The IMD also warned of strong surface winds reaching up to 40 km/h, which could impact daily life in some regions.
Meanwhile, fishermen have been advised to exercise caution, as wind speeds over the central-western and southwestern Arabian Sea may reach 65 km/h. Rough sea conditions and gusty winds are also expected over the southwestern Bay of Bengal, the southern Tamil Nadu coast, the Gulf of Mannar, and Kanyakumari region, with wind speeds potentially hitting 55 km/h.
