Thiruvananthapuram: The excitement in Kerala reaches its peak as the Onam Bumper 2025 lottery draw takes place today, offering a life-changing first prize of ₹25 crore. The lucky draw will be conducted by Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal at Gorky Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram.
All 75 lakh tickets, each priced at ₹500, were completely sold out—reflecting the massive enthusiasm across the state. Along with the jackpot, 20 winners will each bag ₹1 crore as the second prize. Palakkad emerged as the top-selling district with over 14 lakh tickets sold, followed by Thrissur with 9 lakh and Thiruvananthapuram with more than 8.5 lakh.
Originally slated for September 27, the draw was rescheduled to today due to heavy rains and requests from ticket agents over GST-related concerns.
Adding to the festive fervor, the state will also witness the launch of the Pooja Bumper lottery, which comes with a ₹12 crore prize pool and tickets priced at ₹300. The launch will be led by Minister Antony Raju, with MLAs V.K. Prasanth and Lottery Department Director Dr. Mithun Premraj in attendance.
