Iran has rejected a US-backed peace proposal to end the ongoing conflict, calling it “deceptive” and unacceptable. Tehran instead put forward five conditions, including an end to attacks, guarantees against future aggression, and compensation for damages. It also stressed recognition of its sovereignty and role in the region.
The rejection reflects deep mistrust between the two sides and signals that a quick resolution to the conflict remains unlikely.
