New Delhi: Following the aviation disruptions witnessed in the first week of December, IndiGo Airlines has announced compensation for affected passengers, starting from the 26th of this month. Passengers whose flights were cancelled within 24 hours of departure will be eligible for a full ticket refund along with additional compensation.
Based on the duration of the cancelled flight, passengers will receive compensation ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹10,000. In addition to this, IndiGo will issue a ₹10,000 travel voucher to eligible passengers.
The travel voucher will be provided to passengers who faced disruptions on December 3, 4, and 5. It can be used for any IndiGo flight journey within the next 12 months, offering flexibility and convenience for future travel.
The move comes as part of IndiGo’s effort to address passenger grievances and restore confidence following the recent operational challenges.
