India Secures 2nd Spot in QS World Future Skills Index 2025, Showcasing Global Leadership in Innovation and Youth Empowerment

India has proudly clinched the second position in the QS World Future Skills Index 2025, standing just behind the United States. This remarkable achievement highlights India’s growing strength in critical areas like Artificial Intelligence, digital transformation, and green technologies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated this milestone, stating, “Over the last decade, our Government has worked on strengthening our youth by equipping them with skills that enable them to become self-reliant and create wealth. We have also leveraged the power of technology to make India a hub for innovation and enterprise.”

The QS World Future Skills Index evaluates nations on four key pillars: Skills Fit, Academic Readiness, Future of Work, and Economic Transformation. While India ranked 25th overall, it excelled in the Future of Work category with an impressive score of 99.1, second only to the U.S.

This global recognition reflects India’s unwavering commitment to building a future-ready workforce. Strategic government initiatives in education, skill development, and technology have propelled the nation toward becoming a global innovation powerhouse.
