High Alert After Operation Sindoor: Major North Indian Airports Temporarily Shut, Flights Suspended

New Delhi: Following the launch of Operation Sindoor, India’s bold retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack, heightened security measures have led to the temporary closure of several major airports across North India. The move comes amid fears of potential escalations and the need for maximum vigilance.

Operations have been suspended at ten key airports, including Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Dharamshala, and Amritsar. Authorities warn that both domestic and international flight schedules are likely to be disrupted, with departures, arrivals, and connecting flights affected. Passengers are strongly advised to check flight statuses and plan accordingly.

Air India has officially cancelled all flights to and from cities like Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot until 12 PM on May 7. Two international flights bound for Amritsar have been diverted to Delhi.

Air India Express has also issued a travel advisory, urging passengers to consult their official website for the latest updates on flight restrictions and revised schedules.
