Gold Shines Brighter in Kerala: Price Hits ₹73,880 per Sovereign Amid Global Tensions

Kochi: Gold prices in Kerala are once again on the rise, with a fresh hike of ₹200 per sovereign recorded today, pushing the rate to ₹73,880. The price per gram also climbed by ₹25, now pegged at ₹9,235.

This surge follows the record-breaking spike on June 13, when gold surpassed the previous high of ₹74,320 set on April 22. Momentum continued briefly, with prices teasing the ₹75,000 mark before settling into a pattern of sharp ups and downs.

Market experts link the volatility to global geopolitical uncertainties, particularly the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict. The growing perception of gold as a safe-haven investment has driven more buyers into the market, further fueling the upward trend.
