Gold Shines Again: Kerala Prices Cross ₹84,000 After Two-Day Slump

Kochi: Gold prices in Kerala bounced back strongly on Friday, surging ₹320 per sovereign to hit ₹84,240, while the per-gram price rose by ₹40 to ₹10,530. This comes just after a ₹920 dip over the past two days, reaffirming gold’s volatile yet upward trend.

From ₹77,640 per sovereign at the start of September, prices have skyrocketed past record highs, breaching the ₹80,000 mark on September 9 and touching an all-time peak of ₹84,840 on Tuesday.

Analysts attribute the surge to global market shifts and rising investor demand for gold as a safe-haven asset, keeping prices elevated despite short-term corrections.
