Gold Prices Rise Again in Kerala; Sovereign Up by ₹280

Kochi: Gold prices in Kerala have once again increased, with the rate of one sovereign (8 grams) rising by ₹280, bringing the total price to ₹92,000 per sovereign. The price per gram has gone up by ₹35, reaching ₹11,500 today.

On Tuesday morning, gold prices had touched a record high of ₹97,360 per sovereign, the highest rate recorded this month, before witnessing a sharp decline later in the day.

Yesterday, the price stood at ₹93,280 per sovereign, but it dropped twice during the day to fall below ₹92,000. The lowest price recorded this month was on October 3, when gold was priced at ₹86,560 per sovereign.

Market experts attribute the current fluctuations in gold prices to global economic uncertainty, particularly in the United States, which continues to influence international bullion markets. These global market trends are being reflected in Indian gold prices, leading to frequent variations in local rates.
