Gold prices in the state have increased again after a brief decline in recent days. The price of gold rose to ₹13,575 per gram. The price of one sovereign (8 grams) is now ₹1,08,600. However, 18-carat gold saw a slight hike and is priced at ₹11,215 per gram, with 8 grams costing ₹89,720.
Silver is being sold at ₹1,960 for 8 grams. Despite the recent fluctuations, gold prices had touched a high of ₹1,26,920 per sovereign earlier this month.
Market observers say prices continue to be influenced by global gold rates, the dollar-rupee exchange rate, and import duties, leading to frequent variations.
