Kochi: Gold prices in Kerala are on the rise again, making a strong comeback after a brief dip. The price of one sovereign (8 grams) has jumped by ₹320, reaching ₹65,880, while the per gram rate now stands at ₹8,235, marking a ₹40 increase.
After hitting a record high of ₹66,480 on March 20, gold prices had slightly dipped but are now climbing back rapidly. In just two days, prices have surged by ₹400, with ₹80 added yesterday alone.
Market experts attribute this spike to fluctuations in the stock market and rising international gold prices. Earlier this year, on January 22, gold crossed ₹60,000 for the first time, continuing its upward trajectory past ₹64,000 in the following weeks.
With global economic trends influencing the market, analysts predict further price hikes, keeping investors and buyers on high alert.
