Kochi: Gold prices in Kerala have surged once more, crossing the ₹95,000 mark per sovereign. With a sudden increase of ₹1,000 per sovereign today, gold has reached its highest rate this month. The price of one sovereign now stands at ₹95,200, while the rate per gram has risen by ₹125, bringing it to ₹11,900 per gram.
The all-time highest price recorded in the state was ₹97,360 per sovereign on October 17. At the beginning of this month, gold was priced at ₹90,200, and on November 5 it dipped to ₹89,080, marking the lowest point for the month. Since then, prices have been steadily climbing.
Market experts say the rise reflects ongoing fluctuations in the global gold market, which continue to influence prices in India, leading to the recent upward trend.
