Gold Prices Jump ₹2,120 in a Day, Climb Close to ₹1.15 Lakh per Sovereign in Kerala

Kochi: Gold prices in Kerala surged sharply on Tuesday, rising by ₹2,120 in a single day and pushing the price of one sovereign to ₹1,14,840, close to the ₹1.15 lakh mark. The price of gold per gram also saw a significant increase of ₹265, reaching ₹14,355, reflecting renewed volatility in the bullion market.

After several days of sharp fluctuations, gold prices showed a strong rebound, having dipped briefly in the morning before climbing steadily by afternoon. The all-time high for gold in the state remains ₹1,31,160 per sovereign, recorded on January 29. Gold had crossed the ₹1 lakh threshold for the first time on December 23, and prices have remained elevated since, keeping investors and consumers on close watch.
