After a sharp rise of ₹1,800 yesterday, gold prices slipped today, marking a downward correction. The price of gold fell by ₹240 per sovereign, bringing the rate to ₹92,040. Correspondingly, the price per gram dropped by ₹30, now standing at ₹11,505.
Yesterday morning, gold prices had surged by ₹1,800 per sovereign, but by noon, they fell by ₹320 — a trend that has continued into today.
At the beginning of this month, the price of gold was ₹90,200 per sovereign, which later dropped to ₹89,080 on November 5. Since then, prices have fluctuated between ₹89,000 and ₹90,000.
The all-time record high remains ₹97,360 per sovereign, registered on October 17. After that peak, prices fell by nearly ₹9,000 before beginning to rise again.
Experts note that the volatility in international gold markets continues to influence price movements in the Indian market.
