Final Supermoon of 2024 Set to Shine Bright, Coinciding with the Leonid Meteor Shower

This Thursday, November 15, marks the arrival of the final supermoon of 2024, known as the “Beaver Moon.” As the last of four supermoons this year, it promises to be the brightest and largest full moon of the month, visible right after sunset.

But the excitement doesn’t end there. On Saturday night, November 17, the Leonid meteor shower will peak, offering stargazers a dazzling display of meteors streaking across the night sky. While the full moon may obscure some of the fainter meteors, the Leonids will still provide an unforgettable spectacle, particularly in areas with less moonlight.

This rare alignment of the Beaver Moon and the Leonid meteor shower offers a fantastic opportunity for skywatchers to enjoy two celestial events in one spectacular evening.
