Final Call for Voters: Today’s the Last Chance to Save Your Name on the Electoral Roll

The clock is ticking for thousands of voters in Kerala, as today marks the final deadline to submit filled enumeration forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls. The Election Commission has released a list of 24.95 lakh voters who face exclusion following the comprehensive revision process.

The booth-wise exclusion list was made public only yesterday evening, leaving just one day for affected voters to act. Despite demands from political parties, the Election Commission has declined to extend the deadline. Voters can check whether their names appear on the list at the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer.

Anyone whose name has been included in the exclusion list without valid reason must immediately contact the concerned Booth Level Officer (BLO) and submit the completed SIR form today itself to ensure correction.

Submitting the form today will allow the voter’s name to be restored in the draft electoral roll scheduled for publication on the 23rd. Once the draft roll is published, booth-wise lists of those still excluded will be displayed on the notice boards of Electoral Registration Officers and uploaded on the Chief Electoral Officer’s website. For lakhs of voters, today is the decisive day to safeguard their right to vote.
