Thrissur, Aug 07 (IVC) Seventy year old father, Vadakkumbatt Narayanan Master and his son Professor V N Krishnachandran attained the doctorate degrees with a difference of five days, the family sources said.
While Krishnachandran attained PhD for his thesis on “Hydro Electric Projects” from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) on July 26, 2024, his father Narayanan got his Doctor of Philosophy Degree on July 31 from the Vedic University, Kuppam.
It is considered a rarest of rare achievement. Retired Principal Principal of a Higher secondary School, Narayanan turned his attention to research and procured his PhD on “Influence of Vedic Culture in the modern Society”.
The noted Malayalam writer Dr Chathanoth Achuthanunny was Narayanan’s guide. Assistant Professor of the N S S Engineering College at Palakkad , the son submitted his thesis on “Hydro-Electric Projects” for his PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) degree .
The duo belonged to the Vadakkumbatt Mana (Illam) Mattam near here. Narayanan was the Chairman of the Vedic Research Centre of the Brahmaswom Math here for several years. Krishnachandran has authored 11 books including “Poet with an eye in the heart”.
