Exam Season Begins in Kerala: SSLC & Plus One Start Tomorrow, Plus Two from Friday

Thiruvananthapuram: A wave of anticipation and nervous excitement is sweeping across Kerala as the SSLC and Plus One examinations begin tomorrow (March 5), marking the start of a crucial academic phase for lakhs of students. The Plus Two examinations will follow on Friday (March 6). Announcing that all preparations are complete, General Education Minister V. Sivankutty said 4,17,497 students will appear for the SSLC exams at 3,031 centres statewide. Meanwhile, 4,11,025 students will take the Plus One exams and 4,52,437 students will sit for the Plus Two examinations.

While arrangements had also been finalized in Lakshadweep and Gulf centres, exams in the Gulf region have been temporarily postponed due to the prevailing conflict situation in West Asia. However, examinations in Kerala and Lakshadweep will proceed as scheduled. The SSLC exams will run from March 5 to 30, Plus One from March 5 to 27, and Plus Two from March 6 to 28, with all exams commencing at 9:30 am. Nearly 26,000 teachers have been deployed as invigilators. Valuation camps will begin on April 7, with SSLC results expected in the third week of May and Plus Two results likely to be announced by May 22.
