New Delhi: In a significant diplomatic outreach amid rising tensions in West Asia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, urging an immediate end to the ongoing conflict with Iran. Expressing deep concern over the deteriorating regional situation, Modi stressed that protecting civilian lives must remain the highest priority.
The high-level conversation followed a crucial meeting of India’s Cabinet Committee on Security, where the evolving developments in the Middle East were thoroughly reviewed. Reiterating India’s longstanding position, the Prime Minister emphasized dialogue, restraint, and swift de-escalation to prevent further instability in the region.
In a parallel diplomatic move, Modi strongly condemned the recent attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates and held a telephonic discussion with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He thanked the UAE leadership for ensuring the safety and welfare of the Indian community residing in the country and reaffirmed India’s unwavering solidarity.
With tensions continuing to simmer in West Asia, India has stepped up its diplomatic engagement, underscoring the urgent need for peace, stability, and collective efforts to restore calm across the region.
