Devendra Fadnavis Sworn In as Maharashtra CM for Third Term, PM Modi Applauds Leadership

On December 5, 2024, Devendra Fadnavis took the oath as Maharashtra’s Chief Minister for the third time in a grand ceremony at Azad Maidan, Mumbai. This marks a key moment for the BJP-led “Mahayuti” alliance, which emerged victorious in the recent Maharashtra elections. The alliance includes the Shiv Sena (led by Eknath Shinde) and Ajit Pawar’s faction of the NCP.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Fadnavis, calling the new government a “blend of experience and dynamism.” He expressed optimism that the administration would fulfill the aspirations of the people of Maharashtra.
