Delhi Records 32.8°C as Temperatures Gradually Rise

New Delhi: The national capital recorded a maximum temperature of 32.8 degrees Celsius on Friday, as temperatures continue to rise gradually, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Despite the upward trend, the temperature remained 2.3 degrees below the seasonal average, providing some relief from intense heat conditions.

Station-wise data showed variations across the city. The Ridge area recorded a maximum temperature of 33.7 degrees Celsius, which was 1.4 degrees below normal. At Lodhi Road, the temperature settled at 33 degrees Celsius, slightly below the average.

Meanwhile, Palam registered a maximum of 31.8 degrees Celsius, 3.7 degrees below normal, while Ayanagar recorded 32.5 degrees Celsius, 2.5 degrees below the seasonal norm.

The IMD indicated that temperatures are likely to continue their gradual rise in the coming days, signalling the onset of warmer conditions in the capital.
