Delhi Cold Conditions Persist in City; Air Quality Remains Very Poor

Delhi Cold weather conditions continued to prevail in the city, while air quality deteriorated further, remaining in the “very poor” category. According to station-wise data, Nehru Nagar recorded the worst air quality, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 360, placing it firmly in the “very poor” range.

Other monitoring stations across the city also reported elevated pollution levels, raising concerns about public health, especially for children, the elderly, and people with respiratory ailments. Authorities have advised residents to limit prolonged outdoor activities and follow precautionary measures as long as poor air quality persists.

Weather experts indicated that calm winds and low temperatures are contributing to the accumulation of pollutants, and improvement in air quality is expected only with a change in weather conditions.
