Cooking Gas Prices Rise Again: Domestic LPG Cylinder Hiked by ₹60

New Delhi: Cooking gas prices have been increased across India, adding to the financial burden on households. The price of the 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder has been raised by ₹60, while the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has seen a sharper increase of ₹115. The hike comes amid ongoing tensions in West Asia, which have influenced global energy markets. The revised prices have come into effect from today.

With the latest revision, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder in Kochi has increased from ₹863 to ₹920. In Delhi, the price has gone up from ₹853 to ₹913. Mumbai now records a price of ₹912.50 compared to the earlier ₹852.50, while in Kolkata the rate has risen from ₹879 to ₹930. In Chennai, the price has climbed from ₹868.50 to ₹928.50. LPG prices have witnessed multiple hikes in recent months, including an increase of ₹28–₹31 on March 1 and ₹49 for the 19 kg cylinder on February 1, following a ₹111 hike announced on January 1. The continued rise in cooking gas prices is expected to impact household budgets across the country.
