New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stressed that military conflicts cannot provide lasting solutions to global issues, urging nations to resolve disputes through dialogue and diplomacy.
The Prime Minister made these remarks during a joint press conference in New Delhi with Alexander Stubb, President of Finland. His statement comes at a time when global tensions are rising due to ongoing conflicts such as the Russia–Ukraine War and escalating tensions in the Middle East, including issues involving Israel and Iran.
Modi said that dialogue, negotiations, and diplomatic efforts are the only effective ways to end conflicts. He also highlighted the urgent need to reform international organizations so they can better respond to the growing global challenges.
“India and Finland believe in the rule of law, dialogue, and diplomacy. No issue can be resolved through military confrontation alone,” the Prime Minister said.
Reaffirming India’s commitment to global peace, Modi added that the country will continue to support all initiatives aimed at ending conflicts quickly and restoring stability, whether in Ukraine or West Asia.
PM also emphasized that the global community must unite to eliminate terrorism in all its forms, while calling for stronger international cooperation to tackle emerging global crises.
