New Delhi: Bringing relief to hotels, restaurants, and small businesses, the price of commercial LPG cylinders has been reduced once again across the country. Starting November 1, oil marketing companies have slashed the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by ₹4.50 to ₹6.50, offering minor but welcome relief amid fluctuating fuel costs.
However, there’s no change in the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders used in households, which remain steady since the last ₹50 hike in April.
The move follows a series of adjustments over the past few months — after four price cuts earlier this year, rates were hiked by ₹15 in October, while September saw a reduction of ₹51.50. Between April and July, commercial cylinder prices dropped significantly, with cumulative reductions of ₹138 in Delhi, ₹144 in Kolkata, ₹139 in Mumbai, and ₹141.50 in Chennai.
With the latest revision, a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder now costs ₹1,590.50 in Delhi, ₹1,694 in Kolkata, ₹1,542 in Mumbai, and ₹1,750 in Chennai.
While the domestic cylinder price remains unchanged, the latest adjustment highlights the ongoing efforts of oil companies to stabilize fuel costs amid global market fluctuations.
