Commercial LPG Cylinder Price Hiked

Adding to the financial burden on people welcoming the New Year, oil marketing companies have increased the price of the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder.

New Delhi: Oil marketing companies have raised the price of the 19-kg LPG cylinder used for commercial purposes by ₹111. With this hike, the price in Kochi has gone up to ₹1,698. In Kozhikode, the price is ₹1,719, while in Thiruvananthapuram it stands at ₹1,730.

The price hike comes despite relatively lower international crude oil prices. However, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders.

In Delhi, the price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has increased to ₹1,691, marking the highest level since June 2025. Public sector oil marketing companies revise LPG prices on the first of every month based on international oil price trends.

The hike is expected to severely impact hotels, street food vendors, and small-scale industrial units that use LPG as fuel. It may also lead to an increase in the prices of food items sold by hotels and eateries.

Notably, the price hike follows two consecutive months of reductions. The companies had cut prices by ₹5 on November 1 and by ₹10 on December 1.
