The BJP has unveiled a revamped Kerala state committee under the stewardship of new state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Four dynamic leaders—Sobha Surendran, M.T. Ramesh, Anoop Antony Joseph, and S. Suresh—have been appointed as General Secretaries, signalling a strategic shift toward youth empowerment and internal inclusivity. The reshuffle also sidelines several leaders linked to the V. Muraleedharan camp, marking a clear generational and ideological realignment.
Adding to the momentum, former IPS officer R. Sreelekha and Shaun George have been named as Vice Presidents, joining party stalwarts like P. Sudheer, S. Krishnakumar, Dr. K.S. Radhakrishnan, and others in key leadership roles. A new set of regional presidents and secretaries has also been appointed to sharpen the party’s grassroots machinery.
Speaking at the announcement, Anoop Antony, one of the youngest appointees, described the reshuffle as “a fresh beginning to power” and a sign of the BJP’s evolving identity in Kerala. With renewed leadership and broadened representation, the BJP is gearing up for an aggressive push to strengthen its political presence in the state.
