Ayodhya: The holy city of Ayodhya came alive with devotion and celebration on Monday morning as preparations peaked for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s participation in the saffron flag hoisting ceremony at the newly built Ram Temple.

From the break of dawn, the air reverberated with chants of “Jai Shri Ram,” as thousands of devotees, seers, and pilgrims gathered around the temple premises. Streets were adorned with saffron flags, floral decorations, and vibrant lights, giving the entire city a festive glow.

The event marks the Dhwaj Arohan, a sacred ritual in which the temple flag is ceremonially hoisted atop the shrine. Religious leaders described the ceremony as a moment of historic fulfilment, symbolizing centuries of faith, devotion, and cultural identity.

Large crowds of devotees from across the country arrived in Ayodhya to witness the occasion, while security was tightened around the temple complex to manage the massive turnout. Traditional music, devotional hymns, and rituals added to the spiritual ambience.

The ceremony is seen as another significant milestone for the Ram Temple, which has become a major center of national attention and religious emotion since its opening.
