New Delhi: Tension gripped Delhi airport on Wednesday night as passengers aboard an Air India Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner were asked to deboard after sitting inside the aircraft for nearly two hours due to a faulty air-conditioning system.
The flight, scheduled to take off at 11 p.m., was delayed as engineers tried in vain to fix the malfunction. Eventually, travelers were escorted off the plane, sparking frustration and anger among them.
Many passengers took to social media to slam the airline, alleging poor communication and inadequate arrangements during the ordeal. While Air India has not released an official statement, sources said alternate flight options are being worked out for the affected travelers.
