ADGP Ajith Kumar Cleared of Corruption Charges by VACB

The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) has officially cleared ADGP M.R. Ajith Kumar of all corruption allegations, dismissing accusations leveled by Nilambur MLA P.V. Anvar. The probe examined multiple claims, including gold smuggling at Karipur Airport, illegal wealth accumulation, and financial irregularities in property deals. However, the VACB found no credible evidence against Ajith Kumar. Investigations revealed that his luxury residence in Kowdiar was financed through a legitimate bank loan, and the alleged quick resale of a Kuravankonam flat was actually a sale made after eight years, reflecting natural market appreciation. Additionally, claims of unauthorized tree felling at the Malappuram SP’s camp office were also deemed baseless.

With the final report now submitted to the state government, Ajith Kumar’s path to a potential promotion as Kerala’s State Police Chief appears clearer. If the government accepts the VACB findings, he could be included in the UPSC shortlist for elevation, shaping the future of Kerala’s law enforcement leadership.
