Aadhaar Service Charges to Rise in Two Phases from October 2025

New Delhi: Aadhaar-related service charges are set to rise in two stages, with the first revision taking effect on October 1, 2025, followed by the second on October 1, 2028.

Enrolment and mandatory biometric updates for children aged 5–7 years and individuals above 17 years will continue to remain free of cost, with the government reimbursing Aadhaar centres directly.

For other biometric updates, charges will be ₹100 in the first phase and ₹150 in the second phase, while certain updates will range between ₹100, ₹125, and ₹150 depending on the category.

Demographic updates such as date of birth, gender, address, and mobile number will be charged at ₹50, ₹75, and ₹90, based on the phase. For Proof of Address (PoA) and Proof of Identity (PoI) changes, the fee will be ₹50, ₹75, and ₹90 at Aadhaar centres, and ₹25, ₹75, and ₹90 via the online portal.

Additionally, obtaining an Aadhaar search or colour printout using eKYC will cost ₹30 in the first phase, ₹40 in the second, and ₹50 in the third.
