New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has revised the service charge for the Aadhaar PVC card, increasing the fee from ₹50 to ₹75. The updated charge, which includes taxes and delivery costs, came into effect from January 1, marking the first price hike since the card’s launch in 2020.
UIDAI announced the revision through its official platforms, stating that the new rate will apply to all fresh requests for Aadhaar PVC cards.
The Aadhaar PVC card is a pocket-sized, plastic version of the Aadhaar card, designed for convenience and durability. Similar in size and appearance to a credit or debit card, it is more long-lasting than paper-based Aadhaar copies and comes with advanced security features. Its easy portability and sturdy design have made it a popular choice among Aadhaar holders across the country.
