Thiruvananthapuram – Veteran CPM leader and former Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan remains in critical care with no significant change in his condition, according to the latest medical bulletin issued by SUT Hospital, Pattom. The 100-year-old leader has been undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) since suffering a heart attack on Monday.

A dedicated team of specialist doctors is working round-the-clock to stabilize his breathing, heartbeat, blood pressure, and kidney function using advanced life support systems. The hospital bulletin confirmed that while his condition is being actively managed, there has been no notable improvement.

“Mr. Achuthanandan remains in the ICU. His vital signs are being maintained with the aid of life-saving equipment, and his condition is being closely monitored by a team of experts,” the statement said.

Prominent political leaders, including Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, have visited the hospital in recent days to offer support to the family and stay updated on the veteran leader’s health.

Achuthanandan, one of Kerala’s tallest political figures and a revered public servant, continues to receive intensive medical attention as his condition remains critical but under control.
