The surge reflects a consistent upward trend—1,400 applications in 2022–23 and 2,600 in 2024–25—signaling the institution’s growing reputation for world-class academics, cutting-edge research, and student-friendly infrastructure.
Officials credit the boom to diverse course offerings, strengthened international partnerships, and Kerala’s standing as a safe, welcoming, and culturally rich environment. Popular programs attracting global attention include biotechnology, international relations, and environmental science.
Most applications are pouring in from countries across Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, showcasing Kerala University’s expanding global footprint.
