Kerala HC Directs Probe into Act of Insulting ‘Thulasithara’

Kochi: The Kerala High Court has directed an investigation into an incident involving the alleged act of insulting a ‘Thulasithara’ (sacred basil platform) at a temple. The court issued the directive while considering a petition seeking action against those responsible for the act.

The petitioner argued that the incident hurt religious sentiments and sought legal action against the culprits. The court emphasized that any act that disturbs religious harmony should be taken seriously and ordered the authorities to conduct a thorough probe.

The police and concerned authorities have been instructed to submit a report on the matter. Further legal steps will be based on the findings of the investigation.
