PM Modi Celebrates a Decade of “Make in India,” Hails Nation’s Manufacturing Growth

On the 10th anniversary of the “Make in India” initiative, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the initiative’s success, calling it a testament to the collective resolve of 140 crore Indians. He highlighted India’s transformation into a global manufacturing and innovation hub, with a sharp rise in exports across various sectors and a strengthened economy.

Modi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to reforms that will make India self-reliant (“Atmanirbhar”) and prosperous (“Viksit Bharat”). Union Minister Piyush Goyal also commended the program, noting that it has attracted substantial domestic and foreign investments, created millions of jobs, and expanded India’s manufacturing sector.

Launched in 2014, “Make in India” continues to drive innovation, investment, and infrastructure development, positioning India as a global leader in manufacturing.
