New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday highlighted India’s water governance model and said it could offer useful lessons to countries across the Global South.
Sharing an article on X, Modi said water security was not limited to building infrastructure but also required effective planning, strong local systems and community participation in water management.
“India’s journey from water reforms in Gujarat to large-scale national programmes offers a practical example for countries looking to improve water management and meet growing water needs,” he said.
